You wouldn’t think of leaving your precious goods uninsured at home
The same applies to goods in self storage. Even with Paisley & Kirkintilloch Self Storage’s enviable record of safety and security, accidents can occur for reasons beyond anyone’s control. Fire, theft, and storm damage can happen in your home, they can happen here too. For this reason we insist that all our customers are adequately insured.
If your property is worth storing – it’s worth insuring
Paisley & Kirkintilloch Self Storage insures their sites, but not your goods because we don’t know the value of goods being stored. The items you place in self storage are your sole responsibility and must be insured.
Does my Household insurance cover goods in storage?
Probably not, many household policies only cover goods in the house and not in transit or storage. You should also keep in mind that household policies often have a higher excess than storage insurance.
When does the coverage start?
Coverage starts when you complete and sign the Lease Agreement Form, pay your first month’s insurance premium and move your property into the unit at Paisley & Kirkintilloch Self Storage. If your goods are not covered by your existing contents policy we have insurance available for our customers under an insurance policy we have entered into with our insurers, for a small monthly fee.
